Denisdor was founded in January 1947 by Enid Reid and Doris Fradd, and Miss Reid continued to be principle of the school for a remarkable 55 years, in March 2002 she decided to take a well earned retirement having taught many children in the local area to dance, including several generations of some families.
Over the years we have presented many shows, raising thousands of pounds for local charities, and giving the students the chance to enjoy the spotlight and show their hard work off to family and friends.
I took over the school when Miss Reid retired in 2002, having been a pupil since I was two, and having been first assisting, and then later teaching classes since 1991. The school is now over 60 years old, and I hope it will continue to grow and flourish for many years to come, giving children and adults the chance to experience the magic of dance.
